After her loss after getting so far in last year’s tournament, Gracidea is back for another go at the Ultimate Battle Frontier. Between last tournament and this year’s, Grace traveled to Unova to polish her trainer skills by starting fresh. Regardless of starting over, two elements of her team building remain the same, majority female (this year entirely female) and minimum of two bird/flying type Pokemon.

While in Unova, she discovered Team Plasma and decided to join their cause, just to a less extreme extent. She only acts if she detects a truly despicable trainer whose Pokemon are miserable. Due to Team Plasma’s influence, she tries to let her Pokemon do as much decision-making as herself and not let her voice overpower theirs.


Sharune
Team Postion: Leader/Speedy Offense
Location Met: Nuvema Town
Grace’s starter Pokemon in Unova. Sharune often acts on impulse, but her quick decisions tend to work out. Grace was exceedingly happy when she discovered Sharune could learn the flying type move Aerial Ace (being a lover of all things bird and flying), and Sharune loves using the move because she gets to use her art of duel Scalsword.

Gowsim
Team Position: Gutsy Physical Defense
Location Met: Route 4
Gowsim is sometimes a bit too bold for her own good. She literally ran into Grace and her team when they passed through Route 4. Grace admired her spunk and offered her a positiona on the team, which Gowsim accepted after a battle. Now evolved, she tends to push Grace around, but in a loving sort of way. She is fierce in battle and won’t back down despite all odds.

Constance
Team Position: Special Stats
Location Met: Route 16
Caught as a little Solosis, Grace kept Constance on the team at first simply because it confused her and was adorable. Grace studies and loves Constance and her species almost as much as bird Pokemon. In battle, Constance is slow physically, but can take enough hits to make up for it. Everyone on the team is always tempted to poke (or in Skiv’s case, sit on) her because the gel around her body is so squishy.

Brull
Team Position: The Butt-Kicker
Location Met: Wellspring Cave
– Found in the first cave Grace entered, Brull is the physical powerhouse of the team. Grace is hesitant to let her use Swords Dance in battle because she goes crazy with power and becomes hard to control. Brull is a bit gruff and tends to act and express her feelings without thought before hand.

Skiv
Team Position: Mascot/Tiny Tank
Location Hatched: Sky Arrow Bridge

Don’t underestimate this baby vulture just because she is small. Skiv was left as an egg at the daycare by some trainer. Grace offered to take the egg into her care and the egg hatched into Skiv. Grace instantly fell in love with the little Vullaby and refused to evolve her ever, and with the Eviolite, she is just as good, if not better than she would be if she evolved. Skiv doesn’t say much, but is a stubborn little chick with attitude. But to Grace she is very loving, loyal and tender and sees Grace as her Mama Mandibuzz.

Stryk
Team Position: The Stryker
Location Met: Nacrene Museum
The Plume fossil Grace was given in the Desert Resort actually turned out to contain two different Archen remains, that of Mikyun and her sister Stryk. Where Mykyun is gentle and has difficulty fighting, Stryk is the opposite and is incredibly fierce and violent. Grace trained both sisters, but decided to take Stryk to this year’s tournament due to her thirst for fights and skill in laying down the hurt.

Ziriz
Team Position: Pet/Illusion of Memories
Location Met: Lostlorn Forest
When Grace ventured into the Lostlorn forest, the natural beauty of the location reminded her of her home region of Johto, which caused her to sit down and cry in a bout of homesickness. Then suddenly, Nettle, Grace’s Nidorina who was supposed to be home in Johto, walked out from the forest to Grace’s side to comfort her. However, upon accidentally nudging Nettle’s tail, she shifted into a Zorua who just wanted to staunch Grace’s sadness. So Grace kept her as a pet to cast illusions to herself and her team to inspire them in battle. Ziriz never battles herself, as she’s too shy and prefers to hone her illusion and acting skills.
